Farm RulesDay Visitors: The farm is open daily strictly from 08h30 to 17h30. No day visitors are allowed to enter the farm before 08h30. All day visitors must exit the farm by 17h30. The office is open daily from 08h30 to 17h00 Tuesday to Sunday. Day visitor vehicles are to park in the parking area at the front gate. Only vehicles that pay R30 extra for their car will be allowed to park in the picnic area. It is compulsory to display your picnic access in your windscreen of your vehicle at all times. Day visitors are only allowed in the recreation areas and picnic areas. No visiting or driving around the farm beyond the designated points. Small, Medium, Big Lapa Visitors: The lapas are booked strictly for the time specified when you made your booking. It is the responsibility of the person who made the booking to ensure that all their visitors adhere to the rules of the farm. All rules for visiting the farm apply to lapa visitors and guests. After a Big Lapa function, all visitors must vacate the premises at 23h00 sharp. Deposits will be withheld if damages are made and/or if visitors do not vacate on time. Big Lapa evening function visitors are not allowed to wander around the farm at night and have to remain in the Big Lapa function hall. After 23h00 - Special arrangement and full payment of R500.00 extra per hour need to be arranged in advanced with office. Campsite Visitors: All accommodation visitors vehicles are to park at the campsite where booking is made. Accommodation visitors are only allowed in the recreation areas and picnic areas during the day from 08h30 to 17h30. Accommodation visitors are not allowed to wander around the farm at night and have to remain in the campsite or hostel area. It is compulsory to display your campsite access in your windscreen of your vehicle at all times. General Rules of the Farm: The Security, Rietvlei Farm Staff and Management have the right to search any vehicle entering or exiting or moving around these premises. All visitors are asked to respect the privacy of other visitors. Invasion of other peoples privacy will result in being asked to leave the farm. No dogs are allowed on the farm. No music allowed. No speeding at all times. Speed limit is 10km. Only farmyard animals can be fed. No cabbage please. No climbing up or into the animal enclosures. No teasing or throwing of stones or sticks at the animals allowed. Alcohol consumption beyond legal limits is not allowed. No firearms allowed. No littering allowed. Please use the bins provided. No wandering or driving around the farm beyond the designated points is allowed. VERY IMPORTANT! Visitors are visiting Rietvlei Farm at their own risk. The Rietvlei Farm is open to the public, but strictly under these conditions. Please adhere to these rules. We reserve the right to enforce the departure of the persons not adhering to the rules stated. We cannot accept any responsibility for loss or injury sustained by any person during their visit. Right of admission is reserved. Trespassers will be prosecuted. Security, Rietvlei Farm Staff and Management have the right to ask visitors to leave the farm if they do not adhere to these rules.
